I loved getting to know Tasha and Rick during this engagement session and am so excited they chose to have me photograph their wedding next summer. We did this session in a field that I just happened to stumble across and I love the way it worked for the two of them. Courtney and Eric got married recently at Temple United Methodist church in Muskegon. After the ceremony, we took a boat ride over to the reception at Spring Lake Country Club. It was a very warm day… no, warm doesn’t quite describe it – it was a VERY HOT day, but everyone was still up for being outside and having a good time. I had so much fun photographing your wedding day, Courtney and Eric! Congratulations!

I recently photographed Aden and Eddie’s wedding on Mackinac Island and I think it’s my new favorite place for weddings! Everything about the day was perfect… the couple, the details, the weather, the venues, everything. I met Aden and Eddie in Chicago several months ago for their engagement photos and after doing that session I knew they would have an incredible wedding… and they did. Aden was one of the most fashionable brides I have ever had and I’m not just saying that… really. She looked amazing at 7:30 am on our way to the hair salon, she looked amazing in her wedding dress (and I must add that dress was absolutely stunning), and she even had a third (and equally awesome) dress to wear when we took out the yellow tandem bicycle at the end of the day. I also want to thank Paul Retherford for helping me out on this one. It was great working with you, Paul! Thank you so much for including me in your wedding weekend, Aden and Eddie!

I got the opportunity to photograph Lora and Matt’s wedding in Grand Rapids, MI a couple weeks ago. Both of them were both so easy going and such a fun couple to work with! They got married at Trinity Lutheran Church and their reception took place at Blythfield Country Club. Congratulations and thank you for including me in your wedding day, Lora and Matt!

I photograph couples in love all the time, but occasionally I get a couple like Courtney and Sam. I could feel how in love they were and it made me smile all day long. Their ceremony took place at an adorable little church in Holland, MI and the reception was in downtown Grand Rapids, MI at the Amway Grand Plaza. The forecast said RAIN, RAIN, RAIN so Courtney got prepared with rain boots for her and her girls. Somehow the 20% chance of no rain won, but I had to get them into their boots anyway.
My jaw dropped when I walked into the Imperial Ballroom where their reception took place. Everything was incredibly elegant… even the chairs at the tables. I also got the pleasure of working with Anne Oppenhuizen again – she did video for the wedding. Thank you so much Courtney and Sam! I thoroughly enjoyed spending your wedding day with you and wish you the best of luck! Congratulations!
